Through activities spanning the life cycle of Wisconsin Fast Plants®, you and your students can explore many aspects of plant growth and development and reproduction. In its 35 – 45 day life cycle, the Wisconsin Fast Plant rapidly passes through all the life stages of a flowering plant.

Educational Resources
Two types of kits are available: Classroom kits and student kits.
Fast Plants® classroom kits are designed to be used by up to 32 students (working in pairs). Student kits are designed for classroom demonstrations, or for use by up to six students. They are also great for home-schooling or science projects. Each kit contains everything you will need to complete the activities. Fast Plants® Kits are available through Carolina Biological Supply Company.
Fast Plants® materials are designed to minimize watering and fertilizing responsibilities. The automatic watering system provides sufficient water to last for three to four days, and the slow-release fertilizer is applied only once when the seeds are planted.
Many of classroom kit refills are also available. They include seeds, pollination materials, stakes, labels, chemicals, fertilizer and instructions. NOTE: Proper lighting is essential for success with Fast Plants®. Plans for building a light bank system are included with each kit, but lighting systems may also be purchased from Carolina Biological Supply Company as a ready-to-assemble package.
